This project was especially meaningful for us, as it was created for a returning client who has trusted us with her home time and time again. What was once a dining room, later used as an office by a previous owner, was thoughtfully reimagined into a space designed entirely around how she lives and entertains. We designed a full custom cabinetry wall to support her love of hosting and decorating, with a combination of open shelving and closed storage to beautifully display seasonal décor while keeping holiday pieces organized and accessible year-round. The cabinetry also functions as a buffet, allowing the room to effortlessly support gatherings both large and small. Furniture and lighting were carefully selected to align with her personal style and the way her family uses the space, creating a room that feels welcoming yet refined. Grasscloth wallpaper, tailored velvet drapery in a soft taupe, and warm brass accents add depth and softness throughout. Oak-cased openings and exposed oak ceiling beams ground the space with warmth and character, resulting in a dining room that feels timeless, inviting, and designed to evolve alongside the traditions made within it.
I take on a small number of full-service renovation and new-build projects each year so every client gets my full attention, from the very first conversation to the day you walk through your finished home. I also work on design-only and single-space projects year-round. If you're anywhere along that range and ready to do it right, I'd love to hear about your project.
