A complete interior and exterior transformation of a lake home nestled in Buford, Georgia. Our clients had lived in this home for years and were ready to see it become something truly special — and the result is a layered, tactile home deeply rooted in natural materials and considered design. We introduced zellige tile, soapstone, raw brass, warm earthy beige tones, and richly textured natural wood throughout every space, creating a home that feels both grounded and elevated.
The kitchen was reimagined entirely, with an adjacent unused room absorbed into the footprint to nearly double its size — creating a generous island with ample seating and storage for the whole family. Alongside it, an oversized butler's pantry was designed so expansively that it doubles as a mudroom, giving this active family the function they needed without sacrificing an ounce of beauty. Every detail was considered, from the material selections to the custom cabinetry and layout.
The two-story family room became a true showpiece — anchored by a soaring stone fireplace that scales the full height of the wall, flanked by custom built-in millwork and walls of windows that frame the stunning backyard and lake beyond. A stone-clad elevator adds a refined architectural moment, while the new sunroom offers a light-filled retreat for family gatherings and quiet mornings alike. On the exterior, natural stone was introduced to connect the home back to its landscape, blurring the line between the built environment and the natural beauty surrounding it.
